EV_ICS-40638-FX – Evaluation Board

Simple evaluation board which allows for quick evaluation of the ICS-40638 analog MEMS microphone. The small size and low profile of the flexible PCB enables direct placement of the microphone into a prototype or an existing design for an in situ evaluation. The evaluation board consists of a bottom port microphone soldered to a flexible PCB with color-coded wires attached. The only other component on the board is a 0.1μF supply bypass capacitor.

Please refer to the App Note below “AN-000048 – PDM Digital Output MEMS Microphone Flex Evaluation Board User Guide” for more detailed information.

ICS-40638

The ICS-40638 is an analog MEMS microphone with very high dynamic range and capable of operation up to 105°C. The ICS-40638 includes a MEMS microphone element, an impedance converter, and a differential output amplifier.

Other high-performance specifications include 138 dB SPL acoustic overload point, tight ±1 dB sensitivity tolerance and enhanced immunity to both radiated and conducted RF interference.

The ICS-40638 is available in a small 3.50 mm × 2.65 mm × 0.98 mm bottom port surface-mount package.

ICS-43434

The ICS-43434 is digital I²S output bottom port microphone. The complete ICS-43434 solution consists of a MEMS sensor, signal conditioning, an analog-to-digital converter, decimation and antialiasing filters, power management, and an industry standard 24-bit I²S interface. The I²S interface allows the ICS-43434 to connect directly to digital processors, such as DSPs and microcontrollers, without the need for an audio codec in the system.
